La Vuelta 2026 — Grand Départ Monaco

For the first time in its history, La Vuelta a España — one of cycling's three Grand Tours — opens in Monaco. Festivities begin Thursday 20 August with the official team presentation on Place du Casino. Saturday 22 August brings Stage 1: a spectacular ~9.4 km individual time trial through the Principality (Casino Square, Fairmont hairpin, Larvotto, Port Hercule, Fontvieille, Stade Louis II, finishing on the F1 start/finish straight). Sunday 23 August: ceremonial start from Place du Palais, race start at the Exotic Garden, then Stage 2 toward Manosque. Street viewing is free; expect major road closures and free CAM buses on 22–23 August. Plan ahead via lavueltamonaco.gouv.mc.
